CYOP Joins Interkod Technologies to Develop Online Casino Games
19
September 2005
CYOP Systems International Inc., operator of games
portals and a top provider of online gaming software,
recently revealed that they have made an agreement with
Interkod Technologies Inc. for the purpose of online
casino game development.
CYOP has hired Slovakia based, Interkod Technologies
Inc. to construct online versions of a number of
different multiplayer casino games including blackjack,
craps, baccarat, and roulette. The games are set to
begin development no later than the 1st of November.
After the games have been created, CYOP will be the sole
owner of the games and will then license them out to
third party gaming operators. Furthermore, CYOP has
every intention of adding the games to their own sites
to provide players with a chance to play for real cash.
The CEO of CYOP, Mitch White, said that online poker has
become such a huge success because players have the
ability to play with or against their opponents in
real-time. CYOP’s licensed backend technology initially
was developed for handling multiplayer games on every
platform, even those that supported high-end 3D and
mobile gaming. CYOP has made it their priority to
continue to find and build multiplayer casino and skill
games wherever they discover the applications for the
technology.
It is also interesting to note that according to the
Informa Media Group, it is anticipated in 2006 that the
global revenues from online gambling will total over $14
billion, which is a much higher profit when compared to
the just over $3 billion that was made last year. In
addition, the Informa Media Group estimates that in 2006
the US will generate 24% of the total online gambling
profits, whereas Europe will generate as much as 53%.
