Real Time Gaming is Sued by Owner of Online Casino
20
November 2005
It is always tragic when a partnership
between two fantastic companies turns sour. The reason
is because it not only has bad affects on both business
parties, but it also has an affect on casino players.
Unfortunately such an event has taken place between
online casino operator Brian Goodman and Real Time
Gaming.
It has been reported that a civil court case has been
filed concerning the matter, and now there is a public 8
page document in the U.S. at the Fulton County Court in
Georgia. This document lists the complaints from two
online casinos – Kiss Online Casino and Giant Vegas
Online Casino – both owned by the company Interbet.
These online casinos are owned by the Australian
entrepreneur Brian Goodman. The complaints were placed
against KDMS International, more commonly known as Real
Time Gaming.
As the story goes, Interbet was a licensee utilizing the
Real Time Gaming software, but the relationship between
the two companies started to become rocky when Goodman
decided he wanted to change to another software
platform. As soon as this change was suggested, problems
began to arise and a strain was placed on the
relationship.
The document concerning the case has a number of serious
allegations that deal with unilateral closure of
business accounts and casino without the consent of
Interbet. Some of these accusations claim Real Time
Gaiming:
Provided players with notices that Interbet’s casinos
were closing, and
encouraged them to use other Real Time Gaming operations.
Refused players access to Interbet’s Neteller and
their other casino assets
Made false written statements defaming the honesty of
Interbet and that
Interbet’s player lists could possibly have been sold to
spammers.
For compensation for damages, Interbet has filed this
lawsuit against Real Time Gaming, however a trial date
has yet to be set in regards to the matter.
