At this year’s first egaming awards, the outstanding online casino group 888.com was the proud winner of the best online casino award and best overall online gaming operator of the year award. The glamorous event took place in central London and more than 500 guests from the online gaming industry attended.

The Chairman of 888.com, Marie Stevens, was the member of the group who was delighted to be the recipient of the award, and accepted it on behalf of 888.com. The company received the most votes and won the Best Casino Operator of the Year award. It was said that 888.com was selected because of their “complete control of the value chain” and their “unparalleled reach and marketing effort in the casino sphere”.

888.com was up against some pretty tough competition that included Party Gaming, William Hill and Ladbrokes. Thus, by walking away with the best reward, 888.com really showed that it is an online casino that has received extensive global coverage, is in total control over all aspects of their operation, and is a company that has an original status.

The CEO of 888 Holdings, John Anderson, was overjoyed about the company’s win. Anderson commented that the awards they received are extremely important to them. 888.com has already been recognized as the largest consumer gambling magazine within the United Kingdom at the Inside Edge Awards that already took place this year. At these awards the company walked away with the “Best Online Casino of the Year”.
