City-Guide Network to be joined by AOL Vegas

City-Guide Network, one of the world’s biggest online portals has made the decision to partner up with two Las Vegas companies in order to start an interactive travel guide of the city. The two companies, American Online and Vegas.com (including Robin Leach’s Total Vegas Television) have come together to develop AOL Vegas, and so far the terms of the deal made by these two companies have not been disclosed to the public.

American Online is extremely successful and it is currently estimated that they reach 112 million people monthly from their various outlets. Vegas.com on the other hand, a company that was launched 7 years ago in 1998 has also been successful in its endeavors and is owned by the same family that owns the Las Vegas Sun.

AOL Vegas, which had been through a development process that lasted 18 months, finally launched last Tuesday. AOL Vegas is a part of the AOL CityGuide network, and those who are interested can access the AOL Vegas website at www.aol.com/vegas. Non-AOL subscribers will find that they are also invited to visit and take part in the new site.

According to the AOL CityGuide Vice President and General Manager, Scott Richman, the response that AOLVegas has received so far is nothing short of phenomenal. People from all over the world are always going to Vegas, and for this reason, AOL CityGuide decided that it would be ideal to create a site that is filled with lavish photo tours, celebrity content and footage captured behind the scenes for their large international audience.

Some of the exciting features that the AOL Vegas site has include video clips for “Vegas Minute” and “Luxury Life”. What’s more is the site also has information on how to travel to the famous city, as well as a number of events and show tickets that visitors can purchase through Vegas.com, courtesy of Ticketmaster.
